From there they went to Virginia and then Rowan County, NC. I was incorrect, according to this source. The family did spell their name Fritz in Germany, VA and NC. In Kentucky, they favored the Fritts spelling. There are many descendants of the Kentucky Fritts family scattered across the country.Brenda Joyce Jeromehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07878338519744358017noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7998509848120209824.post-87533644957944070562011-08-10T20:47:04.705-05:002011-08-10T20:47:04.705-05:00I looked up the early Fritz family of Fairview and...I looked up the early Fritz family of Fairview and they are probably no relation at all to the Fritts family of the gravestones. In the early 1790s, John Fritz, a gunsmith from Germany, his wife Ruth, and eight children settled several miles northwest of Samuel Davis (first resident of Fairview and father of Jefferson Davis).Genevieve Netzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08004780820713448880noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7998509848120209824.post-87749837213906376432011-08-10T12:36:51.860-05:002011-08-10T12:36:51.860-05:00I don't know if there is any connection or not...I don't know if there is any connection or not, but the Fritts family was in NC very early and finally wandered on to Crittenden County.
