Oakley's
full name was Enoch Jerry Oakley Croft. He was the son of Herman R. Croft and
Nettie C. Vaughn and was a lifelong resident of Salem. He worked with his
father in the Salem Feed Mill.
A graduate
of Salem High School, he was only 38 years old at the time of his death.
He was my
mother's younger brother.
