Joseph Leftridge and Mary Evans married in Livingston County 11 October 1846. The 1850 Livingston County census lists Joseph Leftridge, age 25, born Ky; Mary Leftridge, age 23, born Tennessee and Joseph Leftridge, age 1, born Kentucky. They are living next door to John Behagg.
