Buried Smithland Cemetery, Livingston County, Kentucky. Tombstone photographed 23 September 2013. Buried beside J.L. Burgess is his wife, Icypheania Burgess  

Joseph Logan Burgess left a will[1] in which he named his wife's mother as Peachea Doyle. He also directed that an iron fence enclose the family burial lot. There is no fence there today.

Linna E. Doyle, daughter, was living in the household of James W. and Ella F. Doyle in Dyers Hill District of Livingston County, Kentucky on the 1900 census. 

Everette Lane Scyster Nelson, age two, died 13 October 1919 in Livingston County. He was the son of Everett Nelson and Linnie Doyle, according to his death certificate #28212 (1919).

Joseph L. Burgess married Mrs. Icypheania W. Carter 1 February 1846 in Livingston County, Kentucky. No marriage between a Mr. Carter and Icypheania has been located.  The 1850 Livingston County census shows Joseph L. Burgess as age 39 and a tanner born in Kentucky. Isafena [sic] Burgess was age 36 and born in Virginia.  In his will,  [Livingston County Will Book B, page 290, recorded 20 September 1871], Joseph Logan Burgess identified Peachea Doyle as "my wife's mother and who also has been like a mother to me ..." Peachea Doyle is buried near Icypheania W. and J.L. Burgess.

Buried at Smithland Cemetery, Livingston County, Kentucky. Tombstone photographed 4 December 2009.

Martha Ann Doyle, daughter of William and Peachea Doyle, married John S. Leffler 8 December 1840 Livingston County. On the 1850 Livingston County census, John S. Leffler was a coffeehouse keeper and on the 1860 census, he listed his occupation as a hotel keeper.

Frances, daughter of William and Peachea Doyle, married Levin W. Rawleigh 7 October 1841 Livingston County, Kentucky. Levin W. was born in Maryland and was a ship carpenter and farmer.  Two years after the death of Frances, Levin W. married Nancy Alsobrook, who died 10 September 1847 at the age of 21 years.   Levin W. Rawleigh moved to Paducah, where he married Eliza Smith and had several children. The death date and burial place of Levin W. Rawleigh are unknown.

Aaron W. Pickett was the son of George W. Pickett and Fannie Waymer. Elizabeth was the daughter of Washington Doyle and Kittie Rice. Aaron W. Pickett and Elizabeth Doyle married 8 November 1871 Livingston County, Kentucky.
