According to his death certificate, James Layfitte LaRue was the son of William J. LaRue and Susan Threlkeld, both of whom were born in Kentucky. The death certificate of Minnie Magdaline LaRue lists her parents as Samuel Wolford and Cynthia Patmor, also born in Kentucky.
James L. LaRue and Minnie Wolford married 22 March 1888 Crittenden County.
