According to her death certificate, Remicka E. Nation was born 3 December 1864 in Crittenden County and lived in Tolu.  Her father was listed as Eph Nation (born Jackson County, Tennessee) and her mother's maiden name was given as Lear. 

Remicka E. Nation was single.

According to death certificate #557, Ephraim W. Nation was the son of John Nation and -- Grigry and was born in Jackson County, Tennessee. He died 28 January 1928 Crittenden County. E.W. Nation first married Mrs. Cassandria Bird 13 February 1859 in Crittenden County and then married Mrs. Nancy Margelin. Kentucky death certificate #2293 of Nancy Nation lists her father as Ben Curnell, born Tennessee. When Ephraim W. Nation died in 1928, his death certificate shows he was married to Clara Nation. The 1920 Crittenden County census lists him as married, but he was living alone.

Rachal/Rachel Howerton was born 12 March 1856 Crittenden County and died 19 January 1934, according to her Kentucky death certificate #5846. Her birth record shows her birth as 12 March 1855 and her parents as John G. Nation and Rachel Shoemaker.

Richard Howerton's Kentucky death certificate #3219 shows he died 13 January 1925 at the age of 75 years. His parents are listed as Henry Howerton and Catherine Postlethweight.

Tombstone Tuesday - William B. Nation

William B. Nation Jr., the son of William Nation Sr. and Eliza J. Springer, was born 24 May 1863 in Tennessee and died 22 December 1919 Crittenden County, according to his Kentucky death certificate #31893 (1919).

 He married Miss Eva V. Orr 30 December 1885 in Crittenden County and they had two children, Pleasant and Fannie. Eva died 1 November 1901 and, according to her obituary in the 19 December 1901 issue of the Crittenden Press, she left a loving mother, devoted husband, two little children, two brothers and three sisters. Her last words were "Blessed Jesus."


On 19 April 1904 William B. Nation married Mrs. Bettie Martin at Marion. William B. and Bettie  had the following children: Georgia and William D.
