Hello Mrs Jerome. This post reminded me of a story I was told about my 3rd great grandfather. I don't know his or his wife's name only that of my 2nd great grandfather. Father to Marion Herman Story (b.3/02/1863) drowned while crossing the river in a boat around Salem, KY. I don't know when this was.Mother to Marion Herman Story worked as a servant for (??) to support herself and their children. Do you know where I can research river deaths in the mid to late 1800's?
