Thanks so much for posting this. It has prompted me to revisit a dead end in my pedigree.

Ingram was my 3rd great grandfather. My question has been whether the name of my 3rd great grandmother was Mary Ann or whether there was a death and Ingram married again.

Here is my connection:

Solomon LEE was my great grandfather. He migrated from Wilson Co TN to Crittenden County and later moved to Pinckneyville in Livingston Co. He married Isabel LUCUS / LUCAS. Isabel was the daughter of Ingram. Isabel died and Solomon then married Florence STALION (various spellings), my great grandmother. Florence was the daughter of Dempsey STALION and Sarah LUCUS / LUCAS. Sarah was also the daughter of Ingram and therefore a sister to Isabel.

While it would seem Mary Ann was the mother of both girls, I always end up questioning the relationships because of the names/initials and ages on some census records.

In 1850, “Mary A” was 33. In 1860, “Margaret M” was 35. In 1870, “M E” was 58.

Do you have any additional information? Do you know anyone who is researching this line?
