Doing genealogical research online is much faster and more convenient than the old fashioned way of visiting courthouses and cemeteries on your own. How exciting it is to find that your ancestor's photo is already online and someone has written the story of his life! However, with the speed and convenience of online research comes responsibility - the responsibility of verifying that information and the responsiblity of asking permission before using someone else's works.
