Most marriage consent notes consist of a simple statement
such as "I give consent for my child to marry ..." Therefore, we rejoice when more information
is provided in the consent note. M. Rose has earned thanks from his descendants
for telling us when and where his
daughter, the prospective bride, was born and where he and the bride's mother
were born.
By the way, Perry C. Wayland and Miss Cynthia J. Rose did
marry on the 24th of September 1890.[1] P.C. Wayland died 25 October 1924[2]
and Cynthia J. "Jennie" Wayland died in 1922.[3]
Both are buried in Bethel Cemetery,
Livingston County.
